Logistics Coordinator Role

As Logistics Coordinator, your work will consist primarily of monitoring and tracking all inbound shipments. You will work closely with agents and brokers to clear and take possession of shipments. You will be responsible for receiving inventory into Netchem’s inventory systems.

As the Logistics Coordinator, you will be the engine that drives the smooth operation of the business. You will work closely with your colleagues in purchasing, customer service and sales. This job will be based out of Netchem’s head office in Brantford, Ontario.

About You

You are an experienced logistics professional. You are comfortable working in a role where you need to balance tasks according to their urgency. You enjoy a mix of intellectual and physical work.

Job requirements – knowledge, skills & experience

  • Experience with importing procedures and documentation into Canada and the USA
  • Experience in a warehouse/distribution setting
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Fork Truck experience (an asset)
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), CRM system and video calling (Microsoft Teams).
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally

Responsibilities

Imports

  • Monitor and track all inbound shipments and input information into Netchem’s Database.
  • Act as liaison with agents and brokers to clear and take possession of shipments.
  • Provide updates to Netchem’s sales and operations team where required.
  • Act as liaison with USA & Canada customs on issues with shipment clearance.

Logistics

  • Receive products and enter shipment details into Netchem inventory systems.
  • Work with 3rd party warehouses and transportation services to receive shipments.
  • Prepare arrival notices and warehouse receiving forms.
  • Assist Netchem’s other logistics personnel with receiving and shipping at the Netchem warehouse where required.
  • Assist Netchem’s customer service team with arranging shipments from 3rd party warehouses to customers where required.
