Neobrite 536 (2-Butyne-1,4-diol propoxylate, BMP) is used as a top brightener in nickel electroplating baths at a concentration of 50 –150 mg/L. It is a strong Class II Brightener which produces bright white nickel deposits at low and medium current density region with levelling properties.
