LABSA (Linear alkyl benzene sulfonic acid) and DDBSA (Dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid) are efficient and cost effective anionic surfactants used in the manufacture of dish detergents, laundry detergents, car wash soaps, and various hard surface cleaners. It provides excellent detergency and compatibility with other anionic, non-ionic and amphoteric surfactants and is soluble in water and alcohol. Specifically, LABSA was developed as a biodegradable linear version of the branched DDBSA.
