Netchem is a supplier of treated and untreated Potassium Chloride (industrial grade) for electroplating applications and the oil and gas industry. Potassium chloride is the starting reagent to prepare most organic and inorganic potassium compounds. Potassium chloride is also used as the conducting salt in electrogalvanizing where it allows for higher voltage and decreased immersion times. Zinc is dissolved in a potassium chloride solution which provides excellent coverage, brilliance and leveling which can compete with that of nickel-chrome plating. Additionally, industrial grade potassium chloride is used in completion fluids in petroleum and natural gas operations.
